Types of jobs in PAF 2025
PAF recruitment is divided into three main categories:
Commissioned officers hold leadership roles and are responsible for the strategic, operational, and administrative functions of the Air Force. They are recruited through Permanent Commission (PC), Short Service Commission (SSC), and Special Purpose Short Service Commission (SPSSC).

Eligibility Criteria for Commissioned Officers:
Age: 16–22 years for the majority of branches (a limited number of specialist branches permit 30 years).
Marital Status: Mostly unmarried for junior ranks; some of the technical branches accept married candidates.
Education: At least 65% marks in F.Sc (Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical / Computer Science) or equivalent; higher qualifications are accepted for special assignments.
Height: At least 163 cm (can differ per branch).
Nationality: Pakistani citizens only.
Physical Standards: Fit as per PAF’s medical standards.
Airmen form the operational and technical core of the PAF. Airmen work in various specialties and support ground and flight operations.
Principal occupations for Airmen:
Aero Trades – Includes maintenance of airplanes, avionics, and related systems.
PF&DI (Physical Fitness & Drill Instructors) – Instruct recruits in fitness and discipline.
Security – Protect PAF bases and installations.
MTD (Mechanical Transport Driver) – Transport and maintain official company vehicles.

3.Civilian Occupations

PAF Recruitment Schedule for 2025
The PAF typically announces recruitment twice a year for officers and once or twice for airmen.
